  2. Baggage claim

    Collect your luggage. Trolleys are available in the baggage hall.

How far is Marrakech Airport from the Medina?

Marrakech Menara Airport is about 6 km southwest of the city centre. The drive to the Medina, Gueliz or Hivernage takes around 15 to 20 minutes in normal traffic.

Can a car drive me to my riad door in the Medina?

Usually not. Most lanes in the Marrakech Medina are too narrow for cars, so drivers stop at the nearest accessible point. Send us your riad’s name when you book and we check the closest drop-off in advance.

Is there a bus from the airport to the city?

Yes, a public airport bus runs between the airport and the city centre. It is inexpensive, but it does not reach riads inside the Medina, so it suits light travellers staying near the main roads.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track your flight, so your driver adjusts to the real arrival time at no extra cost and waits for you in the arrivals hall.

Can I go straight from the airport to Essaouira, Agadir or the Atlas?

Yes. Your driver can take you directly from the airport to Essaouira from 1,500 MAD, to Casablanca from 1,700 MAD, to Aït Benhaddou or Ouarzazate from 1,700 MAD and to Agadir from 1,800 MAD, per vehicle and one way.

Do I need cash when I land?

It helps to have some dirhams for small expenses and tips. ATMs and currency exchange counters are available in the arrivals area.
